FAQ

What is the Natural Rearing Breeder Connection?

We are a premier organization comprised of like-minded breeders and animal health professionals dedicated to the principles of rearing our dogs and cats as close to nature as possible. By only incorporating complementary medicine and preventative treatments when needed, we rely primarily on a healthy lifestyle to support the complete animal. This means mind, body, and spirit.

Why should I join the NRBC?

The Natural Rearing Breeder Connection stands for integrity. This organization consists of breeders dedicated to the natural rearing of quality dogs and cats. This includes feeding a natural raw diet, using no vaccinations (except as required by law), and raising dogs in a loving environment with plenty of stimulation to produce intelligent, well-balanced animals.

Our members are dedicated to the ethical treatment of dis-ease of the mind, body, emotions, and spirit using complementary or alternative health supports. Our members are "approved" breeders, and have agreed to and signed our Code of Ethics. We also have members who have degrees and are registered, licensed, or certified professionals in alternative animal health.

All members of the NRBC have a proven track record and experience in their respective areas of specialty. All member's credentials have been verified to ensure the integrity of this organization and the services that each member provides. We strive to be a leader in bringing reliable, accurate, and factual information regarding natural rearing to the public. We strive to set the standard for natural rearing by providing a nationwide community of professionals in natural rearing.

Our intention for our members is to provide education on natural rearing and to connect breeders and naturopathic professionals with their clients. Our intention for the public is to provide screened professionals and breeders with whom you can connect for naturally reared animals or assistance in rearing your own animals as Mother Nature intended.

What do you mean by a "naturopathic" or "holistic" approach?

We are dedicated to the belief that health is a state of body, mind, and spirit. We believe that dis-ease should be addressed in a positive and constructive manner approaching the cause and not just the symptoms, working to support the whole animal and restore balance for complete physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

Natural Rearing and Naturopathic health care for my animals is new to me. How do I learn more?

Most Natural Rearing breeders are only too happy to help others learn about it! Animal Naturopaths offer education as well as consultations.  Contact any listed on this site to see what they have to offer.

How can I find an Animal Naturopath or a Natural Animal Health Professional in my area?

Actually, they do not need to be in “your area” or even see your animal in person. Most offer consultations and/or education via phone, Zoom, email, etc.  All from the safety and convince of the internet.

Do you have a referral service?

Yes, the NRBC provides an online Referral Network to help you locate a breed-specific NRBA breeder and/or a qualified, natural animal healthcare practitioner as well as mentoring consultations.

I offer services for dogs/cats and would like to advertise or be listed on your site – is this possible?

Absolutely! We have a membership for natural dog trainers, holistic groomers, and dog daycare providers. If you would like to join us and be listed in our Referral Network for only $25.00 a year, please send us an email at nrbreeder@outlook.com and we will send you an application.  If approved, you must maintain a reciprocal link to the NRBC on your website.
